Congratulations to Professor Sven-Erik Rose on Winning the Eva-Reichmann-Book Prize!

Please join us in congratulating our very own Professor Sven-Erik Rose on winning the Eva-Reichmann-Book Prize!

Making and Unmaking Literature in the Warsaw, Lodz, and Vilna Ghettos, Professor Rose's prize-winning book, examines the work of Yiddish writers who produced literature in Nazi-era ghettos. The jury recognized Rose's thoughtful approach to these texts and his attention to the ways these writers and their experiences have been remembered, bringing renewed attention to these authors and the circumstances in which they wrote.

Professor Rose has been invited to the Center for the Study of Antisemitism (ZfA) at Technische Universität Berlin to give a lecture on his book and receive his award.
