WELCOME TO OUR NEW ISRAEL STUDIES TEACHING FELLOW!
Professor Rafi Grosglik joins us as a Visiting Assistant Professor and will be located in the Department of Sociology. He is our first Israel Studies Teaching Fellow and is sponsored by the Israel Institute. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology and Anthropology from Ben-Gurion University. Most recently, he was a Research Fellow with the Department of Sociology at Brandeis University and taught at Boston University.
His areas of interest make him a perfect fit with U.C. Davis; they include sociology of food, the ethics of organic food, globalization, environmental sociology and Israeli society. He is eager to learn more about the food culture of California. He will be teaching courses in Sociology and the Honors Program on food, culture, and society.
